Together with soil nails, it can fasten the Rockcon® mesh firmly onto the slope surface, thereby reducing the movement of loose soils or rocks, All these characters make it a popular option for slope netting. It is widely used for slope with minor landslide to enhance the stability of the slope.

Reinforced rockcon® system is another popular slope netting. Reinforced rockcon® mesh is the main part of this slope netting. Much like the Rockcon® mesh, main difference between two meshes lays in three strands of high tensile steel wire are twisted first and then made into a rhomboid shape to provide higher impact resistance than single twisted rockco® mesh. Besides, it has a mesh width of 130 mm whose size is much larger than that of Rockcn mesh. Therefore, it is especially suitable for slopes with large stones and boulders. In order to achieve better slope protection effect, it commonly works with Rockcon® mesh or hexagonal mesh to prevent smaller stones and enhance the overall performance of this slope netting.

Hexagonal netting system is one of the most widely used slope netting systems. Its double twisted hexagonal netting mesh is constructed from strands of wire twisted with three half revolutions (i.e 1.5 turns) and result in a non-raveling mesh that has a hexagonal opening. Due to the characteristics of the double twist, the wire mesh can withstand the punching force of falling rocks without unraveling in the event of wire breakage. It can be independently used in moderately steep slopes. However, as the tensile strength of the hexagonal mesh is not as strong as that of Rockcon® mesh, when it comes to very steep or near vertical slopes, it commonly work with reinforced rockcon® system or ring net system as a secondary mesh to strengthen the overall performance of these systems.
